What Responsible Care Is All About
In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, the Lanka Responsible Care Council (LRCC) is pleased to invite applications for the Women-Led Sustainability Projects Appreciation Awards 2026. This initiative recognizes women professionals who have led impactful sustainability, EHS, and safe chemicals management projects within their organizations during 2024–2025.
Participation is completely free of charge, and the guideline is attached for your reference. We encourage your organization to nominate a deserving candidate and submit the required 10-minute presentation video on or before 27th February 2026.

Responsible Care is an internationally recognized voluntary initiative, operational in over 70 countries, aimed at continuously improving the environmental, health, safety, and security knowledge and performance of technologies, processes, and products throughout their life cycle. Companies that commit to Responsible Care strive to: Continuously improve their EHS performance.
Minimize waste and use resources efficiently. Report openly on their performance, both achievements and shortcomings. Engage with stakeholders to understand and address their concerns. Collaborate with governments and organizations to develop and implement effective regulations and standards.
About Us
The Lanka Responsible Care Council (LRCC), registered under GA 00213219, is the leading organization in Sri Lanka committed to the implementation and promotion of the global Responsible Care initiative.
This program, endorsed by the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA), advocates for superior Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHS) standards in the industry. LRCC collaborates with government bodies, industrial stakeholders, and international organizations to establish and enhance responsible care practices across Sri Lanka.
